There are many artists on this line up that you should see at least once in your life, to have so many in one place at one time is something that should not be missed.

Sometimes the best things come to those who wait!

Just in case you've noticed that we haven't been updating our news section for a while we just wanted to let you know that we are still here!

We will be discontinuing the news section shortly to concentrate on doing all those reviews you have been requesting and we will re-jig the site the give more space to the reviews on the front page.

So don't take our lack of news to mean anything other than a subtle change in focus - it was taking us ages to sort out all of the news stories, because nobody was following the submission guidelines, so we are going to use all the time we spent on news to listen to your records instead.

  • Litter blight, laybys, 23rd July
Litter picking needed on road running parallel to A46, west of Bingham... Laybys covered in litter. Obviously frequently used, so perhaps a bin would also be helpful here?

  • Weeds & broken handrail - steps up from Ashwell St, 23rd July
Steps down from Chaworth Road Bridge to Ashwell street. The handrail is broken - again. I've reported this at least twice before and it gets fixed but a few weeks later it's off again. Also these steps are surrounded by thistles, brambles and nettles and overhung by tree branches. I spent half an hour the other week trimming them back myself but this is really the council's job. Please clean up this area, it's a shabby disgrace. If you don't have the money maybe try and get local residents/volunteers to do a "Big Clip" or something but please don't let Colwick & Netherfield just go to ruin.

  • Weeds along South/East side of Chaworth Road, 23rd July
The footpath down from Netherfield Station to Road No.1 is overgrown with nettles, brambles (often sticking out at head height) and bindweed, and overhung by trees from above. It is a depressing, gloomy rubbish dump and dog toilet and has been for months (actually more like years). Please clear the dog mess and trim the weeds (bring a chainsaw, it's that bad) because I'm sick and tired of doing it myself. I shouldn't need to take pruning shears with me just to get to and from work every day. What, I'm starting to wonder, do I pay my council tax for?

There is a grassy area here which is meant for children to play but dog owners are using this as a toilet for their dogs and not picking it up, I can no longer let my child play in this area due to the waste left behind. Can a Dog waste bin be installed in the area or no dogs allowed sign would be even better considering we are surrounded by country park for dogs to be walked in.
